Frequently Asked Questions

  1. I just signed up and haven’t received a box yet. How come?

    The first wave of shipping happens mid-month. From there, we ship in weekly “waves.” If you sign up later in the month, your Bento may be part of a later wave. If you haven’t seen a tracking number within 10 business days of purchase, feel free to contact us for an update!

  2. How do I cancel my subscription?

    Simply log into your account and you can manage all your subscriptions, credit cards and other information!

  3. Can I choose the comics I get?

    Nope! We’ve done that for you! You can see what’s in each box on the main page! We keep all the information about box contents as accurate as possible, but in rare cases books may differ, due to stock shortages or multiple titles of the same MSRP being in the original subscription run.

  4. Is the subscription auto-renewed?

    Yes! No matter the type of subscription you have (Monthly, 3-Month, 6-Month, etc) it will renew at the end of that period on the 9th of the month. We renew everyone on the same day to make sure everyone is good to go for that month’s Bento.

  5. When are boxes shipped out?

    Comic Bento boxes begin shipping mid-month. When your box hits the mail system, you should receive an e-mail with all the tracking information you need!

  6. When do I need to worry about not getting them?

    Not until the 15th of the following month. With your tracking number, you should be able to follow along and see where your Bento Box is. If there is an issue, please contact USPS or Canada Post to make sure they know you are aware that there’s an issue. Then give us a shout and we’ll work it from our end as well to make sure you get your Bento as fast as possible!

  7. What if something is damaged?

    If the books inside your Bento arrive damaged, please take a picture of the books in question and we will get replacements out to you ASAP.

  8. What if I get something I already have?

    Unfortunately, that’s the risk of a Blind Box Service. We don’t know what you’ve already got, but we do try and find hidden gem titles that you may not have seen before.

  9. How are shipping prices determined?

    All of our shipping prices are based off of USPS and Canada Post prices.

  10. I’m with _____. Who can I talk to about ______?

  11. How can I review Comic Bento on my blog/podcast/video channel?

    We are currently working to improve our Affiliate Program and are not accepting new affiliates at this time. However, should you require any promotional, review or interview requests, please contact us at support@comicbento.com

  12. If I start a 6 month subscription today, am I billed monthly or all at once when I sign up?

    As with Monthly subscriptions, Multi-Month subscriptions are paid up-front in one lump sum. Then, at the end of that subscription period, the subscription auto-renews for the same length of time!

  13. Is there a set number of comics in the box – and are there comic books as well as graphic novels?

    Comic Bento boxes are filled with Graphic Novels only, not single issue comics. There are at least 4 books in a box, but based on the theme or what’s happening that month, it could be more!

  14. What currency are Comic Bento transactions done in?

    All Comic Bento transactions and charges are in US Dollars.

  15. Does Comic Bento ship outside of Canada and the USA?

    Unfortunately, due to shipping costs and time restraints, Comic Bento can only ship subscriptions within Canada and the USA for the moment. We are working on an international solution though, so keep an eye out an hopefully we will have news soon! For now though, past Bentos can be purchased and shipped internationally through our store:
